HISA does not cover stairlifts or stair glides. VA guidance treats stair glides as medical equipment for home use that may instead be furnished through Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service when medically necessary and authorized. Veterans with certain qualifying service-connected disabilities may also be eligible for SAH or SHA disability housing grants for broader home adaptations. Is my Bruno Elan SRE-3000 stairlift still supported?

The SRE-3000 is an earlier Bruno Elan model that is no longer offered by Altamira for new installations. Altamira may still be able to inspect, maintain, and repair an existing SRE-3000 and help locate compatible replacement parts when available. A newer model number alone does not mean a working stairlift must be replaced.

What power options are available for Bruno stairlifts?
